Christopher Kennedy has quickly and not-so-quietly emerged as one of the nation’s freshest voices in home furnishings and interior design. Working from his base in Palm Springs, his name is quickly becoming synonymous with Jet Set modern luxury and vibrant California glamour. Christopher’s work and products have captured the attention of such leading publications as Architectural Digest, Dwell Magazine, Elle Décor, Luxe Magazine, and The Los Angeles Times.
In 2010, Christopher launched his own line of luxury furnishings, which is sold in to-the-trade showrooms across the country. The following year saw the expansion of his brand into candles, home décor, and outdoor furnishings. His first monograph, California Modern, was released in 2015. His next book, Making Midcentury Modern (Gibbs-Smith) will debut February 2017.
Each year, in conjunction with Modernism Week, Christopher organized and produced the first Decorator Show in Palm Springs, featuring rooms by today’s biggest names in design. The Christopher Kennedy Compound attracts over 4,000 guests in 10 days, and grossed nearly $100,000 for Modernism Week’s education and preservation efforts.
Born in San Francisco and raised on California’s Central Coast, Christopher brings a synthesis of big-city style and relaxed resort living to his work. Easy elegance and casual sophistication are hallmarks of Christopher’s style.
